I am a german based designer with an expertise in typography, editorial design and creative coding and I love to systemize complex visual projects and if needed even automate time consuming processes.
When the structural work is done I love to get grungy and give my projects a last lovely finishing touch with my experiences from many analog experiments and projects.
In winter 2019 I started to self-study Creative Coding. This interest continued and was the foundation for my master studies with the topic “Creative Coding — How learning to program changes the workflow of designers”. Since 2022 I am holding a M.A. in Communication Design from the University of Applied Sciences in Trier, Germany.
Are you interested in working together or you may have a project I could help you with? Feel free to drop me a line with a few information.
Sideprojects:
2020 – ongoing: CodingGraphics
CodingGraphics started as a personal visual blog on Instagram to gather my visual output while I was self-studying Creative Coding. During my master studies I had the pleasure to host a virtual one day workshop teaching fellow students the basics of Creative Coding with the Coding Environment DrawBot.
2018 – 2022: “Letterheads Trier” – Typedesign Workshop
Together with Erik Seitz I had the pleasure to host the ”Letterheads Trier: Typedesign Workshop” at the University of Applied Sciences in Trier. Once each semester this was a self-organized two day Typedesign workshop for all students of the department Communication Design teaching the fundamentals of the Typedesign process. During this two day long analog journey through type-wonderland we focused on sketching techniques, elaborated individual sketches with the students and helped them to feel comfortable in our cozy type neighbourhood.
